Armored K9 Training Academy offers several options from helping you begin a career in dog training to courses for seasoned professionals.

introduction to dog training

12-week, hands-on course for the beginner that wants to learn how to be a dog trainer.  Learn the basics of animal husbandry, puppy raising, training obedience using balanced methods.  Includes an introduction to Canine Nosework, Protection Training, Service Dog Training.  Upon successful completion, you will be eligible to enroll in the Advanced Trainer Course to earn your Certified Dog Trainer (CDT) certificate.

Advanced trainer course

A 4-week continuation of the Introduction to Dog Training course.  Students will explore nosework, basic protection principles, puppy imprinting, puppy/dog selection for workability, and advanced obedience.  After successful completion, you will be awarded a Certified Dog Trainer (CDT) certificate.

Advanced nosework for working detection

We can help your agency set up a brand new Narcotics Detection K9 Unit, or train a single handler in an existing unit.  Our team of expert trainers include a Certified Instructor from American K9 Interdiction, and a former Border Patrol/County Sheriff trained Deputy that understands the wiles of the modern courtroom and the rules of the road.  We provide the dog you need and the tools to get it done.
